Protesters blocked both tracks of the National Highway and chanted anti-government slogans. The protest severely affected traffic flow.
The protesters said that the protest will continue till their demands are accepted.
An employee named Habib-ur-Rehman died of a heart attack on the news of his dismissal yesterday and his funeral prayers were offered. He left behind a wife and two sons.
